We’re excited to welcome Derrick Levasseur and Stephanie Harlowe of Crime Weekly onboard CrimeCruise 2024!

Derrick and Stephanie had taken different paths in the true crime genre, but in 2020 they decided to team up and start a podcast together. They wanted to put an emphasis on dissecting cases and covering the details of the investigation in a way that you don't often see. With Derrick’s extensive law-enforcement background and Stephanie's gift of researching and writing, Crime Weekly was born.

For nearly four decades Chris Hansen has been on the front lines of crime, enterprise reporting and breaking news all over the world. Hansen created the groundbreaking investigations To Catch A Predator , Hansen VS Predator and H ave A Seat with Chris Hansen . The investigations are responsible for exposing some 400 men attempting to meet children online for sex. Hansen has been honored with 10 Emmys, 5 Edward R Murrow awards as well as excellence in reporting by the Overseas Press Club.

Royal Caribbean suspends visits to Labadee

Royal Caribbean International is temporarily suspending all calls to Labadee, Haiti due to the country’s current political instability and escalating hostilities. The situation is being monitored closely by the cruise line’s Global Security & Intelligence and Deployment & Itinerary planning teams, and future sailings are being evaluated to ensure guest safety and offer the best possible alternatives. Any updates to our cruise itinerary will be posted here on our website as soon as possible.

RCI Lifts Vaccine Requirement

Royal Caribbean International has officially lifted the vaccine requirements for cruises that are less than 9 days long, which means that unless something drastically changes before our sailing, CrimeCruise guests are no longer required to be vaccinated. Unvaccinated guests can cruise with negative results from any commercially-available test, including self-tests, within 3 days of boarding.

RCI is currently developing updated COVID-19 protocols that provide for continued safety of all guests, crew, and the communities in the ports of call, better align with the travel and hospitality sector, and meet destination regulations.

It is the responsibility of each guest to be informed and comply with RCI’s COVID-19 requirements and protocols at the time the cruise sails. Passengers not meeting the cruise line’s requirements will be denied boarding, and no refund of the cruise costs or event badge costs will be issued. These policies are set by the cruise line (not CrimeCruise ), and no exceptions are allowed.
